Lo bueno de Hotel Petit Palace Italia > El hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado y ofrece una variedad de servicios como internet y prensa gratis. Imperdible el servicio de restauración. El personal estuvo muy atento a mis necesidades durante toda mi estancia.

Lo bueno de Hotel Petit Palace Italia > Muy cerca de la Plaza Cibeles, museos y restaurantes. El edifico es hermoso y las habitaciones muy cómodas, hasta los permitieron alojarnos con nuestro perro que es como si fuera nuestro hijo pequeño. Recomendable.

Lo bueno de Hotel Petit Palace Italia > We stayed at the hotel for a night in mid-December. The location is great on a quiet street just off Gran Via. The contrast between the immense crowds of Christmas shoppers and the silence of the hotel's street quite amazing.
The room was clean and warm, its heater doing a very efficient job of keeping the room nice and toasty despite the cold, rainy weather outside.
Also on the good side--we asked the reception desk if they had a corkscrew and they said yes and they would bring it right up and they did! Very very nice of the late evening staff.
Finally they also let us leave our luggage in the storage room all day after checking out--something I'd expect but still nice to see happen.
Lo malo de Hotel Petit Palace Italia > The worst features: intermittent hot water making it difficult to shower. It would be hot for a few minutes and then it would be ice cold after that, then hot, then cold without any reason that we could figure out. Other negatives of the stay--we were given one double bed (fine with us!) without a choice of 1 bed or 2 single beds being offered. We don't smoke but were placed on a smoking floor--no one asked our preference. The reception staff was OK--warm and friendly they were not! Efficient? Within limits--check out of a party of 3 ahead of us took the two people at the reception desk at least 10 minutes.
Another negative: there were two of us (which is why I'd asked for a double room), with the reservation and charge card in my name. While it's normal to ask for your identity card or passport at hotels in Spain, I have NEVER been in a hotel here (or in the U.S.) that made my companion show his identity card, etc. too and that took down all the information from his card as well as mine.
